Abby Cheng, MD, MPHS is an Assistant Professor at the Washginton University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a board-certified sports medicine physiatrist and a clinician scientist supported by an NIH/NIAMS K23 award. She is also the Research Director of the Washington University Living Well Center and the Director of Washington University Physiatry Resident Research. She has clinical expertise in the conservative management of musculoskeletal conditions, and her long-term research goal is to optimize the conservative management of chronic musculoskeletal pain by addressing biopsychosocial comorbidities as part of a person-centered comprehensive treatment plan. She is developing an extramurally funded research program to study and optimize musculoskeletal care delivered through an interprofessional, lifestyle medicine based approach to care.
