Brief Session Description : This is a collaborative session between the Global Academic Physiatry Subcommittee (GAPS) of AAP and Dr. Raju Dhakal, the first registered physiatrist in Nepal, to establish Nepal's inaugural PM&R training program. Presenters will delve into strategic partnership areas using the WHO's competency framework including the program development phases: Planning, Construction, Sequencing, Assessment, and Implementation. We will share the firsthand experience of how ethical global health partnerships with AAP-affiliated entities shaping highly qualified PM&R training programs worldwide. This Partnership, unfolding over five years, offers a unique insight into crafting tailored curricula fitting the needs of the region, leveraging Nepal as a case study. This session will offer an unique opportunity to witness impactful collaboration in action.
