Dr. Shin obtained his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York. He completed residency training at Rusk Rehabilitation with New York University. During residency, he completed a physician acupuncturist certification. He then completed an Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship with physical medicine and rehabilitation at John Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. After fellowship, he worked in pain
management private practice in Maryland prior to joining the Phoenix VA.
