Dr. April Pruski completed medical school at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She graduated from NYU- Rusk PMR residency. She served as chief resident during her final year of residency. After residency, Dr. Pruski joined the PM&R faculty at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. At Johns Hopkins, she served as medical director of the PM&R consult service line, medical director of the Acute Rehabilitation Intensive Service (ARISE) programs, and medical director of the noninvasive brain stimulation program. After residency, Dr. Pruski received her MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in
2021. She is double board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine. Dr. Pruski joined the Phoenix VA in 2022 as TBI Polytrauma Medical Director as she has a passion for brain injury medicine. She currently is the Chief of Service of PMRs. In 2024, Dr Pruski became a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
