James Wilson, DO is an Attending Physiatrist at the MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute and Assistant Professor in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Department of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson is the Director of Spinal Cord Injury Medicine and SCIM Fellowship Program. Dr. WIlson is also the Co-Director of the Northeast Ohio Regional SCI System.
James received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Temple University Hospital residency program then additional training in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine (SCIM) at The MetroHealth System (MHS) and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) fellowship program. His research interests focus on persons with spinal cord injury with a special emphasis on both functional electrical stimulation and autonomic functions post-injury. He is an active mentor for students and residents on quality improvement and research projects.
