Sarah Simmons, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine. She completed her combined MD/PhD at UW in 2016, studying mouse models of multiple sclerosis (MS). After a residency in PM&R, she went on to complete a 2-year clinical and research neuroimmunology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic's Mellen Center for MS. She now sees patients with MS and conducts exercise-related clinical research at UW Medicine's Multiple Sclerosis Center.
