David Balser, MD, is a practicing Rehabilitation Physician at the University of Minnesota. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the University of Minnesota as well as a Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship at Metrohealth Rehabilitation Institute in Cleveland, OH. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. He is actively involved in spinal cord injury research, both in retrospective clinical data analysis and preliminary clinical trials. His scientific domain is the translation of new functional modalities of neuromodulation - such as epidural stimulation, transcutaneous stimulation, and electrical neuroprostheses into clinical practice with innovations in device training and neuromodulation-assisted rehabilitation measures.
