Danielle Broussard is a Registered Dietitian and third year medical student at Nova Southeastern Univeristy Dr. Kiran C Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-KPCOM). After completing her dietetic intership at Hines VA Medical Center in 2017 she worked in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) as well as cardiac rehab until 2021, when she matriculated into medical school. Her interists include adaptive sports and advocacy for those with disabilites, osteopathic medicine and, the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). She has served as a consultant for Wounded Warrior Project and started her own practice focused on sports nutrition. She served as Chief Fellow during her one year predoctoral opsteopathic principles and practice (OPP) fellowship to further her skills in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). Danielle also led her team of colleagues on a medical outreach mission trip to the Gallapagos Islands in Ecuador during her fellowship. As an avid leader and mentor Danielle serves on the board as student liason for Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society, was appointed to the Education Comittee for Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, laision to the Florida Medical Association (FMA), and recently was named Student Doctor of the Year by her peers. She has presented at multiple national conferences and continues to serve her peers and community.
