shoulder capsulitis is a real public health problem because of its frequency and functional impact on quality of life. The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of the Kaltenborn method in the rehabilitative management of shoulder capsulitis.
Design:
In this comparative study we used a conventional rehabilitation protocol for the first group A, and a conventional rehabilitation protocol in which we integrated specific mobilization according to the kaltenborn concept for the second group B. The evaluation parameters were pain using Visual Analog Scale (VAS), joint mobility and function using Constant Score.
Results:
The results showed an improvement in the assessment parameters of Group B patients in terms of pain, joint mobility and functional capacity compared with Group A.
Conclusions:
Kaltenborn method could be efficient at short term, in the management of shoulder capsulitis.
